WHITE WATER KAYAK PERSONAL PERFORMANCE AWARDS
British Canoeing now offer separate Personal Performance Awards so white water kayakers may focus solely on developing their personal skills rather than leading, coaching or guiding. All awards are direct entry and paddler selected. There are no fixed training or assessment programmes, instead training and tasks can be provided by Steve until such time as the appropriate standard is reached.

PROGRESSIVE WHITE WATER KAYAK AWARD
The personal paddling standard of this award mirrors that required by White Water Kayak Leaders i.e. competent in grade 2(3) rivers; indeed, it is possible to gain this qualification during White Water Kayak Leader courses. Attending the White Water Safety & Rescue course is beneficial if working towards this award.

ADVANCED WHITE WATER KAYAK AWARD
The personal paddling standard of this award is aligned with that required by Advanced White Water Kayak Leaders i.e. competent on grade 4(5) rivers; indeed, it is possible to gain this qualification during Advanced White Water Kayak Leader courses.
